The IIS "A. Volta "is one of the main scholastic institutes of the municipality of Sassuolo, therefore inserted in a strategic context between the mountains and the plains, between the province of Modena and Reggio, in which the socio-cultural growth is strongly solicited. Development the ceramic industry and its industries have transformed the city of Sassuolo into the global capital of the
sector. The Sassuolo area is also characterized by the concentration of other complementary production and service activities: in particular, the Italian mecano-ceramic industry, world leader in the sector, but also activities related to the design, design and decoration of the tiles, with the production of glazes and colors, product packaging and distribution logistics. The district's production model is characterized by complex networks between companies and the research world of the University of Modena and Reggio. In fact, the relationships that the institute gives are important
years develops with the various Degree Courses, in particular with the Departments of Physics and Mathematics, Chemical and Geological Sciences, but also with various companies in the area that support projects for the expansion of the training offer, through internships in the company and Alternation School-Work.
The Institute owns:
- 65 classrooms all with PC and video projector fixed and/or equipped with LIM (4 mobile PC and video projector equipment).
- In the laboratories (total 26) there are a total of 300 pcs. 6 Chemistry laboratories (in which Biology experiences can be carried out) 6 Computer Labs, 2 Electronics Laboratories, 4 Systems and Automation Labs 2 TDP laboratories and processing 1 Mechanical Laboratory 1 Robotics Laboratory 2 Physics laboratories 1 Ceramic laboratory 1 Linguistic Laboratory Science classroom Digital library with PC stations Gym with locker rooms 2 Teacher's room with PC stations.
